gingerbread

It's Christmas time! And what could be more fun then making Christmas cookies? Making a gingerbread house maybe?(those are hypothetical questions of course, I don't really want you answering because actually I can think of lots of things that would be funner.) lol, okay so actually I've never made a gingerbread house at Christmas time. But a couple years ago my sister and I decided to make a gingerbread house, don't know why totally since neither us even likes gingerbread, but it was still a lot of fun!! And I thought it'd be fun to post some pictures of it! :) don't you love the little star above the door?? Hannah cut that before baking and I thought it was really cool! :) us with our masterpiece! ;) this was before Hannah frosted the trees and windows. these are the gingerbread people we made! :) they were soo fun! here they're all lined up to do the gingerbread reel! ;) and this is them doing the gingerbread reel! hehehe ;) yeah...the gingerbread people were a little to big for the house...but they still look cute together! :D

It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without the Turkey!

Meet... The Turkey! He...or is it a she? Well it has been at almost every family Thanksgiving since, well since me or any of my siblings can remember. Even those nontraditional years when we didn't have the kind of turkey most people think of at Thanksgiving. Grandma would get him (or she) out and put suckers in it and then after we ate all the grandkids that wanted one could have all the suckers they wanted (or that their parents allowed). She (or he) even made it to a couple Christmas's.

We also always seem to have Turkey cookies at Thanksgiving, it's always fun to make them with cousins. :) I hadn't realized till this year how many kinds of Turkey we have at our family gatherings, my niece (almost two years old!) was getting a little confused by all of the kinds of Turkey. hehehe

101 ways to eat potatoes--part 2

lol sooo...this totally was forgotten about when after a day or two I realized that I just wasn't being creative with my potatoes and then after three I was totally like "Forget potatoes! there are other soft foods I can eat!" But I do have a couple ways that I never posted.

lol, so this wasn't the second way I had them but this is probably my favorite way to have potatoes!!! :) sorry no pix... but anyway Potato Cheese Soup!!!! yum yuM YUM!!!

101 ways to eat potatoes--part 1

Well the first thing after surgery was actually a real fruit smoothie from McDonald's! :) Eaten with a spoon.

(Hannah got one too, but she didn't have to use a spoon. And I was still numb, that's why I'm only half smiling.)

But the first potatoes were cheesy mashed potatoes, with lots and lots of milk so that they were almost drinkable. Even if they don't look that great, they were really yummy! :)

So the first way to eat potatoes, really soupy cheesy mashed potatoes.

wisdom teeth out...

So I got my wisdom teeth removed yesterday, well two of them anyway...long story, but anyway so now I'm only half as wise. ;)

Anyway before surgery I was trying to gain some weight so I had a lot of hot chocolate. As you know from the 30 Day Picture Challenge--Day 8 one of my favorite drinks is hot chocolate, but two days ago I added to the hot chocolate, and made it into Hot Chocolate Amazing! I added Marshmallows, wiped topping, and coffee creamer. It was really good!!!! So next time you want to make your hot chocolate into something different you should try it!

And in the next few days... 101 ways to eat potatoes! Okay so I probably won't come up with 101 ways, but mashed potatoes are on the menu this week, and potato soup, i just haven't gotten to have that yet. Anyway so be looking for some interesting ways to eat potatoes... and they will all be SOFT ways.

Ghost, Heroes & Villains Tour

Chocolate!

So Preciosa had a fun idea that I'd make a post about chocolate on here, and she'd do it on Las Tres Amigas. Okay, so, CHOCOLATE!! It's rich, creamy, delicious, and sometimes there's nuts, crisped rice, or something else yummy in it! And sometimes, it's just smooth and wonderful and it tastes awesome. I like tons of different types of chocolates. Probably my favorite of dark, white, and milk chocolate is milk chocolate. But lots of different kinds are good!!!!!!! :) So what's your favorite?

The Surprise!

Well here it is! The surprise I said something about. Remember that Civil War dress I made a year ago? Well I don't know if you remember this or not but I said I would post a couple pictures of it and so here they are! :) I know it's taken an insanely long time to put them up but oh well. Enjoy!

And of course I have to put a picture of me and my reenactment partners, lol. Hannah, Rene, me and Aunt Stephanie all in Civil War costumes. :)

HEY

hmmm....so. I haven't posted in a long time! It be sad. But hey, I've had a lot going on. I just got a job a couple weeks ago and so that's been keeping me busy. Also we took a little trip to s ee REJELLE!! :) That was fun! A couple family members have had birthdays and a lot of other random things have happened. School is starting back up around here. I know it's really early. But for me, I've been doing school all summer...just now I'm supposed to be started hard core again. Other then the three days a week I'm supposed to work.

So yeah, this is turning into a random update...I'm sticking a couple pix in for the fun of it. :) lol.

Tobi, the sweet lovable old dog that got me to not be afraid of dogs...well most dogs anyway. Tiger Woods (we didn't choose the name) the...cat that I don't really remember but I guess was a nice little kitty because we have a picture of me petting him! Tinkhemight the best cat we ever had! And btw I choose the name (like I said I was a lot younger)! And...one of the white cats (Hannah can't tell which one...), and all the whites cats were cute little sweeties! At least from what I remember. Oh yeah, and just so you all know, they really did just lay around like that together, Tobi didn't mind the cats and the cats didn't know that dogs are usually cats enemy.)

Wow...

So I was looking back at the old posts and found out that I missed the 1 year anniversary of this blog being created! The first post has the date of Monday, June 21, 2010 at 8:28 P.M. The second post (the first post the first post that I posted...) was Monday, June 28, 2010 at 4:13 P.M. That was the one of the strangest days of my life! I'll remind you all that I did not make this blog. I didn't even know about it for the first week! Remember my sister found my account left open and decided to make a blog. A week later when I got on blogger and I saw listed under blogs I manage "Peanut's Notes". Well I figured out what had happened and I was going to delete it but...well I was convinced it'd be fun to keep it and so next time I go months without posting remember that I didn't make this blog.

Anyway, in the last year the name has changed to Really Kool Posts, Rene and Katy have been added to the contributors, there have been 60 posts taking about lots of random things, (everything from my theory's about how the blog came to be, to bacon, chocolate ice cream, Narnia Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and sewing) and lots of really kool pix have been posted.

In the next year? I'm hoping you'll be able to see the end of the 30 Day Picture Challenge, and lots of other random things. :)

Thanks Katy and Rene for making this year of the blog so fun and interesting!! You girls ROCK!! And let's keep this party rolling!! (VIVA LA MANCHA!!!!! :D)

Hey! Soooooo....I was bored, and thought it might be cool to post some pix on RKP! :) So yeahhhh.... :) Hope you like!

These first two were taken at a friend's house when I was leaving... and I just had to snap a couple quick pictures of the awesome sunset! :)

And these are just some random pictures I took at the park near where I live...I liked how the sun looked through the trees and was trying to capture it just right....didn't really work, but they're kinda cool pictures anyway!! :D

This is a picture of a hot-air balloon our church "rented" for rides at an annual bonfire! :)

And these last ones are a bunch of pictures my sister took after it got dark/when they lit the bonfire!! :) It was AWESOME!! anyway...hope you enjoyed my random post and the pix lol!! :)
